Achimenes multiflora

Van Houtte, 1845

Now known as Gloxinia planalta, this plant has had a tortured nomenclatural history.  It has been known as Achimenes hirsuta, Mandirola multiflora, Achimenes multiflora and Gloxinia hirsuta.  It is a "true" Gloxinia, but does look very much like an Achimenes.  Not apparently in cultivation.

Another print, published earlier, formed the basis for this copy.
