C. micromusa is generally upright in stature. It grows for a season, flowers and sets seed, and then dies. It does not propagate easily, except from seed. C. micromusa is quite variable, with some selections producing interesting red veining.
Like C. lavandulacea and C. elphinstonia, C. micromusa will produce flowers early in its growth cycle, if grown under short day conditions.
