A hybrid of C. subrhomboidea and C. fimbrisepala, C. 'Keiko'is a relatively easy, compact growing cultivar.
When the first flowers on a stalk open, they point straight down, only assuming a more horizontal position (as above) after a day or two.
A close-up of the face of a flower illustrates the purple lines, and the yellow and orange markings, that make the flowers so attractive. The side profile shows the elegant form and high bud count. When grown under different cultural conditions, the flowers can have a somewhat different appearance.
