Chirita species (USBRG 98-083)

This plant has grown very well for me in a bright east-facing windowsill. After a slow start from a cutting, it grew quite rapidly once potted up and kept fairly evenly moist. While it does not bloom frequently, it is attractive out of bloom and occasionally produces a nice flush, as in this photo. A close-up of the flowers can be seen here, and another photo of the whole plant in the morning sun here.
This as-yet unnamed species originates in Vietnam, and is one of a few species that is strongly stoloniferous in habit.
