Chirita 'Diane Marie'
C. 'Diane Marie' is a registered hybrid by Robert Stewart. It is a cross of Chirita sinensis var. angustifolia and an unidentified Chirita species. When exhibited at the 1995 AGGS Convention in California by Celine Chase, it was awarded "Best New Hybrid". Note that this cultivar has inherited the silver markings of its C. sinensies var. angustifolia parent, but has a larger and darker flower. The leaves are broader and less upright than that parent, and the overall plant is more compact. A photo of a plant grown for the foliage can be seen here.
