Chrysothemis pulchella 'Copper Leaf' (detail)
Grown by Gary Dunlap
The 'Copper Leaf' form of C. pulchella is a handsome plant with bright yellow flowers marked with red. The orange calyx is attractive and persistent, and when left on the plant counts as bloom for show purposes. Chrysothemis is classified as a tuberous genus, but species such as C. pulchella sometimes do not produce a discernible tuber, and will remain in growth almost indefinitely. A whole plant is shown on another page.
