Growing in nature in Costa Rica

Columnea parviflora has one of the smallest corollas of any Columnea.  Pollinators, likely hummingbirds, are attracted by the orange fleshy calyces.  Another example can be seen here.  In some species, the calyces can be brightly colored and feathery.
