Episcia 'Cleopatra' is one of the most widely grown of this popular genus. It, and several look-alike variegated cultivars, are widely appreciated for the subtle and beautiful appearance of the pale pink, white and green leaves. It is not usually grown for its flowers, as the brilliant reddish orange color clashes with the foliage. this particular specimen is somewhat paler overall than most, probably a result of a cultural variable.
E. 'Cleopatra' requires high humidity and warm temperatures to do well. It is usually grown in a protected environment, like a large bubble-bowl, as was the plant which can be seen by clicking here.
