Eucodonia andrieuxii 'Woolly Morrión'

Exhibited at the AGGS Convention show in July, 2002. Since my first acquaintance with it, this cultivar has been one of my favorite gesneriads. The combination of fuzzy green leaves and fuzzy reddish stems, with the red underside of the leaves peeping through, strikes me as powerfully, but subtly, beautiful. I think flowers would spoil the effect.
However, on other versions of this species, flowers can be quite lovely.
