Gasteranthus quitensis

Photo and notes by John Boggan
Grown at Smithsonian Institution greenhouses

Like other members of the genus, G. quitensis requires high humidity and low light.   It is one of the smaller members of the genus,  and can be grown in a terrarium, much like G. atratus.  Seeds were collected in Equador by John L. Clark.
