Even without flowers, this species is beautifully decorative.  Here it is growing in deep shade, at the Princess of Wales Conservatory, Kew Gardens.  When hybridized with G. pedunculosa, it produces a vigorous and attractively shrubby plant, suitable for conservatory beds.
