Grown at L. H. Bailey Hortorium
This plant has been widely grown as K. eriantha. K. eriantha is now considered a synonym of the widespread and variable species K. hirsuta, but most if not all plants grown under the name eriantha are of hybrid origin. This particular collections was distributed by Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, and is probably a large-flowered collection of K. hirsuta, although it shows some characteristics of K. trianae and may be a natural hybrid.
A whole stem in another photo shows the somewhat straggly habit of this beautifully-flowered cultivar.
