Mandirola Naegelia Roezlii
Van Houtte, 1845
This is an early inter-generic hybrid created by a Mr. Roezli, of what are now Smithiantha zebrina (formerly Naegelia zebrina) and Achimenes mexicana (formerly Mandirola mexicana). In modern terminology, it would be referred to as an XAchimenantha. It appears to be a beautiful plant, with the flowering habit and foliage of a Smithantha, and flowers clearly influenced by the Achimenes.
