Paradrymonia ciliosa

The large, spectacularly fimbriate flowers of P. ciliosa are set off nicely by bright green shiny leaves. A close-up of the flower gives an even better illustration of the peculiar protuberances (the "cilia") on the lower lobe.  Flowers on a plant grown at the Smithsonian Institution can be seen here.
