This interesting and beautiful water-loving species was growing in a bed at a nursery south of Miami, beside a water feature, in mid-January.  The weather was coolish (for Miami), and the bed was thriving.  A closeup photo illustrates the dramatic asymmetrical leaves and the brilliant blue unusually-shaped flowers.  Another photo the same (or similar) species growing in a botanical garden can be seen here.
