Sinningia sellovii

Grown by Michael Riley

Shown at the 2002 Convention show of AGGS.  S. sellovii flowers are usually more of a pinkish colour, rather than this pale yellow.  This is a good demonstration  of the variability of this species.  More of the plant can be seen here, a standard pinkish form here, a flower closeup of a pink form here.

There are a number of photos of S. sellovii on the site:

S. sellovii yellowish form, available light and flash
S. sellovii shown at AGGS Convention 2004, flowers and whole plant/tuber
S. sellovii photos at the Smithsonian, flowers and stems
