Streptocarpus pallidiflorus

This is another of the caulescent forms of Streptocarpus, which are generally placed in the subgenus Streptocarpella.  Some botanists believe that they should be placed in a separate genus.  Another example of the species can be seen here.  This is a variable species, and the color in this photo is quite different from some others, such as that shown here.  This may in part be a function of the color film used for the picture, as well as real differences in the color of the flowers.
